I was reading the Boston Phoneix a few minutes ago, which this weeks cover story is about how MySpace has become a virtual graveyard when it occured to me... that I'm always getting into something before it comes big.
This blog was created in June 2003, before then blogs were just websites that people talked on, then when the 2004 election rolled around, it hit the big time, which was around the time my blog was turning one year old. The "blogosphere" was getting bigger in 2005 even more with it's random expose of scandals and the like. (On a side comment, it feels strange that 2005 went by so fast because it still feels like it was like an extended part of 2004, until Katrina hit, most because it seemed to be a boring year until around the summer.)
Then there's MySpace. I joined MySpace in Janurary 2005 when it pretty damn huge by then, but still hadn't been bought by News Corporation and then I didn't do much with it, I just let it stagnate until I started using. Then along comes Feburary 2006, when MySpace recieves media attention (even on the Daily Show's Trendspotting segment covered it (along with a poke at emo music).
Then there's Wikipedia, I started using Wikipedia around the same time I started using Blogger, at least, according to my contributions list, and just like MySpace has started getting media attention, most of it, though, negative. Plus, they've just passed their 1 millionth article mark.
I also use flickr alot, it's big and is owned by Yahoo now but hasn't gotten media attention, not in the sense with stories about hidden caches of kiddie porn, but because it usually has millions of photographs of breaking news events and knowing the news media they'd drool over getting footage anywhere they can for almost free, so who knows.. Flickr next big thing?
Only time will tell. But it's just weird.
I told my dad about this and he said "That's good, see if you can try and make money of it." That is.. a good idea.
Finally, see how many articles I've written for the Phoneix here. As you can see, none yet. ;)
Also, BC lost damn it. Well, so much for my bracket.

Lucky and unlucky
Well, this is cool.
I get tickets to go to an Anti-Flag show in Revere. Then my dad tells me yesterday that he got tickets to a Dropkick Murphys show at Salem State. Dropkick Murphys comes first on the 7th, then Anti-Flag on the 11th. Anti-Flag will The Unseen, The Casualties, Smoke or Fire and the AKAs. Bound to be one fucking hell of a good time.
On a sad note, Lisa, our school's adminstrative secretary, her son died in ATV accident. Appearently, he struck a cable while riding. Some good does come out this sad event, the school has come together again. That's because...
Last week, on Monday, the kids found out that Max, a teacher had left, appearently some kids thought it was against his will. The next day we were all called into the Common area to discuss and I had to listen to all the kids complain about the staff was lying to them. I personally thought it was dumb, I told them that "Everyone lies, politicians, the president, me, you, them and to get fucking over it." Well, they appulded me after I sad that... and guess what. They went back to accusing the teacher's of lying. What a bunch of fucking retards. Although, it began to die down as the week progessed.
Now this even makes them realize (hopefully) how petty the arugement was and they we could all die any minute now.
But alas, it's a mood killer, joking around with Lisa will be left fun now. :(
I don't think I wanna joke with her anymore... it just feels wrong. I mean it could cheer her up, but it still... feels... wrong.

Unionists disarm
Although, I hate to politicize Saint Patrick's Day, I'm gonna anyways.
UNIONISTS DISARM
Listen you fucking unionist douchebags, the IRA has been disarmed for about half a year. Yet, I don't see your fucking paramilitaries laying down their arms. The Sinn Fein and their military wing, the IRA have finally shown they are all ready to move on. Yet, you sit there like whiny children and haven't disamred. You march down to Dublin earlier this month and provoke the Republician Sinn Fein (not releated to Sinn Fein) and spark a riot. That march wasn't about victims rights, it was just a hidden attempt to provoke republicans. And it worked. I mean there were DUP and UUP politicans marching in that parade, so of course, It seems pretty damn clear to me it was a provocation.
Also, this group, FAIR, claims to represent all the vicitims of the Troubles, huh, well what about all the fucking Catholics killed by the British and their loyalist collabrators? What about Bloody Sunday? They still haven't solved that.
Also, what is fucking ironic is how religion plays into this. It's Catholic and Protestant. CATHOLICS AND PROTESTANTS ARE PART OF THE SAME FUCKING BIG RELIGION AND HERE YOU ARE FIGHTING AMONGST EACH OTHER. Ian Paisley is a fucking bigot, and is as bad as Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Jack Chick or Fred Phelps. However, unlike Robertson (who tried to run for President in '88) Paisley has been able to gain power and push around his bigoted policies. The song Sunday Bloody Sunday mentions the line "to claim the victory Jesus won." When the fuck are we gonna work together to achieve that fucking end, for Christ's sake.
However, I'm not going to contain all my rage to just the Unionists. I have some Republicans to criticize. First off, the Contiunity IRA and Real IRA should also lay down their arms, however, that's not gonna happen anytime soon. Also, the Republican Sinn Fein shouldn't have rioted with the Garda. That's not the fucking smartest thing to do. The Provos should have laid down their arms fucking soon, so a fucking innocent Catholic man wouldn't have been killed by some fucking drunk Provos.
Speaking of that, this Saint Patrick's Day last year, the sisters of Robert McCartney came to American met with our President, George W. Bush and also met with Senators. However, what happened then? Where's the American response to this? If this is a so-called "War on Terrorism", how come neither American or British goverments are doing anything to stop terrorists groups in Northern Ireland. Sure they may be all on cease-fire but still, you should go after them, even if they are on cease fire.
Anyways, most Irish and British people will tell me to shut up you fucking Irish-American mick and their most likely fucking right, but I don't give a fuck. I needed to get that off my chest.

I have a girlfriend!
Yes, I have a new girlfriend, she's a senior. She was in MCAS prep class with me. I've liked her and have had a crush on her since 9th grade but never got to know her until now. Her name is Jamie. She's fun and pretty much doesn't seem to mind me grabbing her all the time. Also, she's legally blind in one eye.
